DWI Living outside nc

If you live outside of North Carolina yet received a DWI in NC:

You must complete a substance abuse assessment and recommended education or treatment to get your license back. If you do not do this, there will be a "hold" on your license, and you will be flagged in all states until completed.

• You can complete a substance abuse assessment and recommended treatment in the state in which you currently reside.  Upon completion, we can provide the out-of-state review which must be done by an accredited DWI provider in NC such as Twin City Counseling.  The cost for this process is a $175.00 flat fee.
• It is best to contact a North Carolina provider before you begin your services. We would be glad to assist in guiding you through this process.

The authorized North Carolina DWI provider will:

• Complete the review
• Process the information
• Complete a Certificate of Completion (e-508 form) to resolve the outstanding DWI offense on your North Carolina record
